Protect Gold - The Licensing and deployment system for Compiled Ubots.
There is no doubt that if you want to write web automation bots that Ubot Studio is the best tool for the job. It uses an easy to learn visual drag and
drop scripting system and even novices can generate time saving, income generating bots in a short time-frame.
But what if you want to compile and sell the bots you've invented to other people?
Ubot has a built in compiler but at the present time has nothing built in to prevent your bot being freely passed around and shared. To make matters worse, bots are favoured by those who use 'underground' and 'blackhat' methods and those people usually frequent forums where sharing these types of program is encouraged.
In 2009 we released a system called 'Protect66' which gave ubotters a way of protecting their compiled products. In 2010 we bought out Protect Gold which included a lot of extra features and improvements that were never part of the original specification.
Now we have updated it all again and made some improvements and are pleased announce the release of Protect Gold for Ubot 4.0x

It is now possible to protect a compiled bot without making any changes to its source code what-so-ever. And for those who want even more protection we supply an optional ubot subroutine that you can drop into your bot for further security and best of all you just drop it in and call it, you don't have to edit the routine at all or set any variables for it to work.
This new system requires no use of the 'Shell' command in ubot so you don't have to worry about getting clients to disable or set special rules up in their anti-virus.
Want to offer time limited trials? No problem! You can make your bots only run for a trial period of x days. You can also create bots that only run for a set amount of minutes before shutting down. And there is naturally protection to stop people from just starting a new trial over and over. If they want your bot they will have to buy it.
Want easy deployment of updates? We got that too! You can now use our auto-update system to provide updates to your customers. When your protected bot starts it can check your site for updates and if there is one it will offer the user the opportunity to upgrade there and then. It will download the update, secure it and run it automatically.
Full HWID locking. The original Protect66 system was limited on what system information it could gain access to to make a hardware key and on some systems it could at most get basic HD information. Because Protect Gold uses a secure wrapper system we can incorporate full hardware locking based on a number of unique pieces of data that identify a customers computer. We gave a compiled and wrapped test bot to some guys with real hacking experience and they couldn't figure a way to emulate this ID or crack the alogorithm we applied to it.
Phones Home. Just like the original protection system Protect Gold incorporates 'phoning home' to your site and a users license is validated (very quickly) with your license database.
Autorun your comiled bots. Ubot has provided a /auto switch so you can make a bot 'run' as soon as it loads. If a user trying to mess with your bot wanted to remove the /auto switch it would be an easy matter since it is done on the command line or from the shortcut. Protect Gold lets you optionally autorun the bot and if you turn it on there is no bypassing it by the end-user.
Small footprint, low resource usage. Protected bots don't take up heaps of extra memory or system resources. There is naturally a small overhead but even on a modest PC (2ghz processor, 1gb RAM) there is no noticable slow-down. And because we've eliminated the need for the constant 'shelling' older XP machines no longer suffer from the huge processor spike that can occur.
